Betting France here. I don’t believe Argentina’s problem is gone away with this result vs Nigeria. Yes for sure Banega is a positive change but they still look suspect at the back and against a side like France. I do not expect to be able to dominate the ball and create the chances that were created tonight.
It should, in theory, mean increased pressure on their iffy defense and with that, it is difficult to see troubled Argentina progress past a French team who have played within themselves but still won 3 matches. I am happy to bet France on the -0.25. I expect them to be one of the sides that will improve in the next round and I think there is quite a bit of value on their odds currently.
