Betting over 2.75 goals here. This is a no brainer of a bet, yes both these sides have met in the group stages and there was only 1 goal in the game. However, the 3rd place playoff game takes a life of its own and in my opinion is not a normal game. There has been 16 of these games and they have averaged 3.625 goals and there not since 1974 have we seen a game with less than 3 goals. That is 10 straight 3rd place World Cup playoffs that we have seen at least 3 goals in. I predict that we will see more of the same in the game. We have 2 players chasing the golden boot award both side are attacking sides and I simply don’t see anything other than a game full of goals.
