Facundo Sanchez’s goal in the second half allowed Estudiantes to claim a much-needed 1-0 away win over Central Cordoba. The team took a little breather on their relegation struggle, opening a seven-point gap over Patronato and Rosario Central in that table. El Pincha are producing an irregular campaign with 13 points, but ten of those 4were claimed at Estadio Ciudad de La Plata following three wins, one draw and one defeat. Estudiantes boss Gabriel Milito is still missing striker Angel Gonzalez, who remains sick. Â
Meanwhile, Rosario Central remain sharing the final relegation spot with Patronato after suffering their first loss this term (1-0 to Velez Sarsfield at home). The team also made it eight league games without a win as they had drawn the previous seven. Central are occupying a mid-table position in the league with 13 points, having collected seven of them away from home (one victory and four draws in a row).
