Wales vs Republic of Ireland
This is a rematch of the World Cup qualifier that was played in Cardiff almost a year ago, Ireland won that night 1-0, they defended very well and frustrated the Welsh and then caught with a sucker punch, to be fair it was well-deserved win, you got the feeling Wales on the night could be there until now trying to score. The games tomorrow is totally different. First, Wales best player Gareth Bale will be playing he was not in the game a year ago. Secondly, the man who scored for the Irish James McClean is out as well as Harry Arter who was also involved in the build-up to the Irish goal has announced he has taken a break from international football for the near future. It has been confirmed by the manager that Arter was involved in a bust-up with the Irish Assistant manager Roy Keane during the summer and that a number of players were not happy with Keane. The Irish set up was dealt a blow when Declan Rice a hot prospect for Ireland has decided that he needs time to think whether he wishes to play for Ireland or England.
It feels like the Irish are not in a good place at the moment and looking at the projected lineups it is difficult to see what Irish player could get into the Welsh team from the midfield to the attack. I am going for a Wales win here and I think it is a case the finally the famous Irish spirit may finally break tomorrow night.
Wales – 0.50 min odds 1.95
