Huracan succumbed to a 3-0 away defeat at Atletico Nacional and they have a mountain to climb in order to reach the second round. On Saturday, the side lost 2-0 at home against Aldosivi, which means El Globo is on 11 competitive matches without a win (drawing three and losing eight). Five of those games took place at Tomas Adolfo Duco Stadium, with two draws and three defeats. Speaking of the league, Huracan is now sitting in 23rd spot out of 24 teams on 16 points.
Atletico Nacional only needs to keep their lead after a 3-0 home success over Huracan two weeks ago. Last weekend, Juan Carlos Osorio’s men drew 2-2 at home against Deportivo Cali with most of their regulars on the pitch. El Paisa has been unbeaten in their last three games in all competition (winning two and drawing one) and also are one of the Colombian league leaders after five rounds with ten points (although Deportivo Pasto, one of the other table toppers, have one game in hand). Furthermore, Nacional won both officials away games in 2020.
I think Atletico Nacional are clearly the better side here, especially if Huracan rotate their players as expected.
