Talleres (Argentina) vs Palestino (Chile)
Talleres were able to beat Brazilian giants Sao Paulo 2-0 on aggregate following a scoreless away draw last Wednesday. In the league, coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda is rotating his players, but the team is still playing well. On Sunday, they drew 0-0 at home with fifth-placed Huracan to remain sitting in 12th on 24 points. The team are yet to lose in 2019, having booked two victories and four draws in all competitions. At home, they managed two successes and one stalemate.
Meanwhile, Palestino won over Independiente Medellin on penalties after a 1-1 away draw on February 12th. Copa Chile’s champions in 2018 opened up league season last Friday, losing at Union La Calera 2-0 even though coach Ivo Basay fielded most of his usual starters. Palestino is on three winless matches on away turf in regular time, drawing two and losing one.
Palestino will be tough to beat, but I think Talleres are the better side here. Home win.
