Copa Libertadores: Atletico Tucuman (Argentina) vs Atletico Nacional (Colombia)

Atletico Tucuman continues to make history and they reached the Copa Libertadores’ round-of-16 for the first time in history after a 0-0 away draw at Libertad from Paraguay, which allowed them to stay second-placed. They went on to finish in 15th in the last league table, but their recent Copa Argentina victories over third-tier side Tristan Suarez (1-0) and Huracan (1-0) mean Atletico Tucuman are on six competitive games unbeaten (three wins, three draws). At home, they also are on six without defeat, having won two of them.

Meanwhile, Atletico Nacional (Libertadores’ champions in 2016) managed to win the Group 2 following a 0-0 home draw with Colo Colo from Chile. A week ago, they drew with Patriotas Boyaca 0-0 at home and make it four points in three weeks of league action, having registered one win, one draw and one defeat after their disappointing loss to Deportes Tolima in the Torneo Apertura finals in June.

I think Atletico Tucuman could be able to take advantage of Nacional’s mini-crisis, in a very even tie.
