Estudiantes vs Newell’s

Estudiantes are on five matches without a win (two wins, three losses) following a 1-1 home draw with Atletico Tucuman at Quilmes last Sunday. They were close to returning to winning ways, but the team conceded with a single minute to go and had to settle for a point. Estudiantes collected only five points in seven games, still having to complete their abandoned away game at Defensa y Justicia (week six). El Pincha grabbed all their five points at home, as a product of one win, two draws and one defeat.

Newell’s Old Boys took a breather to escape from relegation threats last Saturday when beating Tigre 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Fabricio Fontanini and Hector Fertoli. With coach Omar De Felippe on the tightrope before the game, the team played their best performance this term. However’s, Newell’s campaign has been poor so far, earning eight points and only two wins. Besides, they collected a single point in four league travels.

Estudiantes are finding trouble to claim victories so I think Newell’s can take something from this match.
