Aldosivi vs San Lorenzo

Aldosivi were lucky to stop a four-match winless run (one draw and three defeats) last weekend when beating Newell’s Old Boys 1-0 thanks to an own goal from Mariano Bittolo in the first half. El Tiburon managed six wins and suffered six defeats this season, accumulating 19 points, but that is enough to stay safe from potential relegation threats. In Mar del Plata, the team won four games and lost the other two.

San Lorenzo had their home match against arch-rivals Huracan postponed due to security reasons last Sunday. Two weeks ago, the side had lost to Atletico Tucuman 2-0, which means they are on four winless matches in the league, earning only a single point during that time. El Ciclon managed only 11 points in 12 games, which is far below the fans’ expectations. Furthermore, San Lorenzo is yet to win on away turf, registering three draws and three losses.

Both teams have been producing poor performances lately but I think this San Lorenzo has a lot more to give, and their new coach should make a difference soon so I’m taking them here.
