Gareth Bale sent Liverpool into collapse when he scored twice, letting Real Madrid bring home the trophy at the Champions League Final.

The winger scored twice, one of which was one of the best Champions League final goals ever seen in the history of football. The final score was 3-1 in favor of the Spanish club, marking their victory for the third, consecutive time.
Karim Benzema hits the first goal for Real. Next, Bale’s astounding overhead kick made the score 2-1, putting the game into a highly intense one. The final goal was a long-range strike from Bale, sending a third and final blunder from Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius.
Earlier in the game, Liverpool was already in distress with Mohamed Salah’s dislocated shoulder, sending the Egyptian in doubt of whether he’ll make it to Russia in time for the World Cup or not.
The Champions League title is the fourth of Real Madrid in five years, making 13 titles in total.
Real Madrid’s star Cristiano Ronaldo has already raked in five championships during his stay in the Spanish club. He also knows that this time, at this particular finals with Liverpool, Gareth Bale was the star.
Coach Zinedine Zidane left out Bale in the starting line-up, but he eventually placed the Welsh winger in the game as a substitute. This made the magic happen, for Zidane reminded Bale to “make an impactâ€.

Gary Lineker, former professional footballer and now a sports broadcaster tweeted, “What a ridiculous goal from @GarethBale11. Unquestionably one of the best goals of all time.â€
