Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman expressed his desire to return to Bayern and play for France national team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup to be held in Russia. He has undergone ankle surgery in February this year.
Coman already told France manager Didier Deschamps that he will be in tip top shape for the World Cup. The winger was anxious to find out if he will be ruled out of the World Cup, but he is hoping to be back in Bundesliga as Bayern faces Stuttgart in the final round. The finals will be held three days before Deschamps decides on his players for the France national team.
SportBild reports Coman is getting better. Coman said, “Maybe I can play against Stuttgart on the final day. I’m sure I can play in the DFB-Pokal final (19 May).” The winger added, “The World Cup will be no problem for me. I’ll be fit in time for it coming around.”
Coman appeared 15 times in the international football scene with six successive league title victories with Bayern, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain. He was one of the star players at UEFA EURO 2016 and almost became the Young Player of the Tournament award, which was granted to Renato Sanches of Swansea City.
France has a number of potential players in the field for the World Cup, including Coman, Kylian Mbappe, Nabil Fekir, Thomas Lemar, and Ousmane Dembele. The team stars in Group C and will begin their first match on June 16 against Australia.
