Rosario Central vs Estudiantes
Rosario Central seem unable to overcome their irregularity. Last Thursday, they showed a poor performance and succumbed to a 2-1 away defeat at Argentinos Juniors. Having won only one of their last five league games (along with two draws and two defeats), El Canalla remain on 22 points in this competition, which leaves them almost out of the fight for the continental tickets with nine rounds to go.
Estudiantes played one of their best games in this competition last Friday and managed to beat Racing Club 1-0 at home with Mauro Boselli scoring in the first half. After a mini slump, El Pincha are now on four league games unbeaten (three victories and one draw), which allowed them to accumulate 26 points in the Liga Profesional and enter the fight for a Copa LIbertadores ticket again (three points behind the last qualifying berth at the moment).
Estudiantes has found some momentum and they should keep it going against this poor and irregular Rosario Central.
