Atletico Tucuman vs Talleres
In the context of an excellent campaign, Atletico Tucuman are now experiencing a mini slump. Last Saturday, they had to settle for a 1-1 away draw at San Lorenzo despite having taken the first lead, which means El Decano are on three league games without a win (two draws and one defeat). Now the team remains on the 2nd place with 34 points, one point behind Boca Juniors at the top of the table. At home, Lucas Pusineri’s men have been without defeat in their last ten matches, winning seven and drawing three since losing to Argentinos Juniors 4-2 in April.
Talleres managed to put an end to their five-match winless streak of three draws and two defeats in the Liga Profesional last Sunday, when the team beat Defensa y Justicia 1-0 at home with Diego Valoyes scoring from the penalty spot and interim boss Javier Gandolfi in charge. The team made it 18 points in this competition to take a little breather in the context of a terrible campaign. In fact, Talleres remain winless on the road in domestic action this season, registering five draws and ten defeats.
Pressure has finally gotten to Atletico Tucuman but I’m willing to give them another chance and bet on them to beat this poor and irregular Talleres.
