Aldosivi vs Estudiantes
Aldosivi couldn’t hold onto their 1-0 lead in the league opener and ended up losing 2-1 away at Argentinos Juniors in an entertaining game last Monday. Therefore, the team extended their winless streak to six league games (drawing one and losing five in a row). That negative run places them only six points above the relegation zone in the respective table even though their season has been decent so far (20 points in the aggregate rankings).
Estudiantes had to settle for a 1-1 home draw in a hard-fought city derby against Gimnasia LP last Sunday. El Pincha continue producing a remarkable campaign this season, having suffered only one loss in their last ten league matches (four wins and five stalemates in regular time). In fact, they are currently occupying one of the Copa Libertadores’ places in the aggregate table. Ricardo Zielinski’s men lost 3-1 at Rosario Central in their last away game in domestic action, which stopped a nine-match unbeaten streak of three victories and six draws on the road.
Aldosivi has been conceding freely lately, Estudiantes always scores at least once, so I can see an open game between them.
