Talleres vs Central Cordoba
Talleres showed a great display of football and had enough to claim a big 2-1 home success over defending champions Boca Juniors last Saturday. Thanks to that victory, the team made it two consecutive Liga Profesional victories and accumulated six points in the respective table, trailing leaders Lanus by three. La T won four of their last six league games, drawing one and losing one in that time, and they also managed ten points from the last 15 available at home as a product of three wins, one stalemate and one defeat. Coach Javier Gandolfi has no relevant injuries or suspensions to contend with on Sunday.
CA Central Cordoba continue finding trouble to show their best version under recently-appointed coach Leonardo Madelon. Last time out, the team produced a poor performance and succumbed to a 1-0 home defeat to newcomers Belgrano, which means they collected just one point in three rounds of Liga Profesional action (four league games without a win in total, drawing one and losing three). As a result, El Ferroviario are now only one point away from the first relegation spot in the point-average table, occupied by Platense. Central claimed a single victory across their last four matches on the road, along with one draw and two losses.
Central Cordoba is the only team that couldn’t even score a goal in the first 3 rounds while Talleres had a solid start and I expect this trend to continue with Talleres winning at home.
