What a week for Spain, the sacking of manager Julen Lopetegui just days ago is something that will go down in World Cup history. How much of an impact will it have on Spain has to be seen but it certainly is not a positive. In comes Fernando Hierro, he has no time to change anything so you would imagine Spain will set up with their high press that was the tactic under Lopetegui.

The upheaval means that a bet on the match odds is probably best avoided but it still leaves a bet on the Goals an option. This is a game that in my opinion Portugal would gladly settle for a point and it is not the worst result either for the Spanish given their week and given both sides have Morocco and Iran to paly. We could therefore see a match where if it is level at half time that neither side really push for a winner, certainly Portugal you would be happy to settle for a stalemate. With that i am betting the under 2.25 goals in this match.
