Uruguay should be the clear favourite here for me in this knockout game. Most of the main Asian bookmakers have priced this now. Uruguay is so solid and probably get less credit than they warrant. They were excellent today vs Russia and with Suarez and Cavani upfront. They have 2 lethal strikers not to mention their ultra-solid defense. Now, of course, Portugal has Ronaldo but Iran kept him very quiet in today’s match and Uruguay could do the same whilst exploiting the suspect pairing of Fonte and Pepe at the back.
Portugal is a side that really has been lucky. They drew with Spain when they should have lost. They beat Morocco when they should never have won and tonight they could and maybe should have lost the game with the late chance for Iran. Certainly, they did not play like -1 favs. I really like Uruguay as a side I think they can go deep into the World Cup and should be able to take another step in the right direction by taking account of Portugal.
