Superliga Argentina: Union vs Lanus Odds for August 25, 2019

Superliga Argentina Union Vs. Lanus Asian Connect

Union Santa Fe showed a disappointing performance on their visit to Newell’s Old Boys last Saturday when they lost 2-0. It was El Tatengue’s first defeat in this Superliga season and they remain on four points in three weeks. At home, Leonardo Madelon’s men suffered a single defeat in their last five domestic matches, with three victories and one draw in the process (they lost 3-1 to Tigre in May in the Superliga Cup).

Lanus took a little breather in their relegation struggle last weekend when beating Velez Sarsfield 3-1 at home to make it four points in three weeks. That victory allowed them to avoid sliding into the bottom three in the point average table and also stopped a four-match winless run in all Superliga competitions, with three losses and one draw. On a sorry note though, El Granate is on five consecutive defeats on the road.

Even if Union is coming from poor performance, at home it’s a different story for them because that’s where they are a super-strong team. Lanus is struggling on the relegations table and despite last week’s win, I don’t rate them as a better team than Union.

BET: Union -0.25 @ 1.96
