Rosario Central’s winless run has been extended to nine matches (drawing seven and losing two of them) in midweek, when they were trashed by Estudiantes 3-0 away in their worst game this season. El Canalla are now occupying one of the drop spots/sharing the final relegation spot with Patronato. At Gigante de Arroyito Stadium, Central registered one victory, three draws and a single defeat this season.
Godoy Cruz have broken their six-match losing run last Tuesday, when beating Aldosivi 3-2 at home thanks to two goals from Santiago Garcia, who returned after a long-term injury. However,  El Tomba managed only six points this term and remain occupying the bottom spot of the Superliga table. The team from Mendoza are yet to earn points on the road, having lost all five games. Godoy Cruz’s interim boss Daniel Oldra has a full squad to pick from on Saturday as Fabian Henriquez has served his one-game suspension.

Even if both teams are in very bad shape, it’s Godoy Cruz who just won a game midweek and showed some improvement with the return of their top scorer Santiago Garcia, so I think odds on the home team are too low here.
