Aldosivi is starting to improve lately. Last time out, the team drew 1-1 away at Velez Sarsfield to make it four league matches unbeaten (two victories and two stalemates). In fact, they beat title candidates Lanus 2-0 in their last home game to stop a three-match winless run of one draw and two losses in Mar del Plata. However, it’s not yet enough: accumulating only 16 points, El Tiburon remain occupying one of the relegation places.
Central Cordoba had nothing to do against the best side in the league and ended up losing to River Plate 2-0 away. That means the team managed a single win in their last five league matches (drawing two and losing two), but they remain out of the relegation places, accumulating 21 points. On the road, they managed two points from the last 12 on offer. Central Cordoba players Gervasio Nunez and Matias Nani have reached the yellow-card limit at Aldosivi and are suspended. Oscar Salomon misses out injured.
Aldosivi has found some form lately playing better than two good teams like Lanus and Velez and showing signs of improvement. Central Cordoba is too irregular, especially away and they will miss a very important starter like midfielder Gervasio Nuñez, so I’m going here with the hosts.
