Prior to FIFA World Cup 2018, host Russia lost in a 1-0 game to Austria during an international friendlies match.

The game on May 30th, which happened to be their sixth losing streak, happened in Innsbruck.

The lost match is Russia’s third defeat in international friendlies this 2018, after getting beaten both by France and Brazil last March.

Their last victory was against South Korea in October 2017.

Russia’s final World Cup warm-up match will be against Turkey on June 5th in Moscow.

This year’s World Cup will begin on June 14, with Russia getting head-to-head with Saudi Arabia.
