I betting the underdogs here, the Irish have named their team for this match and it features a lot of young players who many have hardly played for their club side yet. Lee O’Connor will start in defense despite not playing for Celtic yet and will start in defense why Troy Parrott is yet to play a league match for Spurs, Jack Byrne also comes in and plays in the Irish domestic league for Shamrock Rovers, the rest of the team is mainly made up of Championship players from the English league. New Zealand have some players that have player in the Premier league namely Winston Reid and Chris Wood who both play for West Ham and Burnley and would be considered important players for their clubs. In addition they have Ryan Thomas who was bought by PSV Eindhoven for nearly €3 million. The rest of their squad is made up of players playing in the smaller European leagues the MSL and the Australian A league. I think in a friendly match i think the +1.25 is worth a go, this Irish side would probably be a side that would be ranked easily as a sub standard European international team and i can’t have them as a -1.25 favs at home to pretty much anyone so betting New Zealand +1.25, the last time New Zealand were in Ireland it was to play Northern Ireland and they started +1 underdogs that night, that was 2 years ago but the North’s team that night will have been stronger than this rep of Ireland team. I am also betting the under 2.5 goals, i don’t believe there is as bigger gap between the teams as the odds suggest and i think it will play a tighter match.
