Gimnasia vs Talleres

Gimnasia LP is winless in their last 12 away matches (earning just three points in that time) after an unlucky 1-0 loss at Banfield last weekend, even though they dominated the game for most of the time. That result made El Lobo edge closer the relegation zone and also stopped their four-game unbeaten run in the league, which included two wins and two draws. At home, they grabbed seven points from the last nine available.

Talleres, who ended up in fifth last season, haven’t yet earned points nor scored this term following their 1-0 home defeat to Rosario Central last weekend. Going back to last campaign, the team are now on five league games without a win, earning just two points in that stretch, but their last success was against Gimnasia LP. Furthermore, things become harder for Talleres on away turf: they haven’t claimed any victories in their last seven, with three draws and four losses since beating relegated side Temperley in February.

In spite of their recent defeat, Gimnasia seems better than Talleres and should claim three points at home.
