After a long winless run of 11 league matches (three draws and eight defeats), Huracan has now won their last two games. Last weekend, they beat Banfield 3-0 away to reach 22 points in 23 rounds. The team will need to continue accumulating points to improve their points average for next season. El Globo earned 13 points in 11 home matches this term, having won three, drawn four and lost four. Huracan coach Israel Damonte welcomes back Rodrigo Gomez as the playmaker has recovered from his muscle issues.
Talleres lost only one of their last five league matches (three wins and one draw) following their 2-0 home success over Colon, which allowed the side to accumulate 34 points in the league table, only one behind Newell’s Old Boys, who are occupying the last Copa Sudamericana berth.
This two teams met just a couple of weeks ago and Talleres won easily 4-2. Huracan has improved since then but I still expect an open game with at least a couple of goals.
