Sarandi Arsenal has performed a remarkable campaign on their return to the top flight so far. Their 2-1 home success over Colon means the team managed ten points from the last 12 on offer and have climbed into the sixth place of the league table on 27 points, only three behind leaders. Sergio Rondina’s men are also unbeaten in the last six home games, winning three and drawing three.
Newell’s Old Boys closed up last year with a valuable 3-2 triumph away at Independiente, which allowed them to take a breather in their relegation struggle. Following that success, La Lepra broke a three-match winless run of one draw and two losses to make it 25 points in the Superliga table. However, only nine of those points were managed on the road in a total of eight games.
Arsenal has been a solid team, Newell’s too but they have been poor away so I have to go with the big odds on the hosts.
