San Martin vs Velez
San Martin SJ produced a disappointing performance in Cuyo Derby last weekend. The team were dominated during the whole game and suffered a deserved 2-0 defeat at arch-rivals Godoy Cruz. As a result, they remain on 30 points and have run out of chances to qualify for the next Copa Sudamericana.
Velez Sarsfield are now on six matches without defeat in the Superliga (having won the last two) following their 1-0 home victory over Banfield last Saturday.
Still having a match in hand, El Fortin reached 31 points and continue to improve their point-average for next season.
Velez won their last away game 4-2 at Temperley to stop a four-game winless
run on the road.
Top scorer Mauro Zarate is back for Velez after missing the last game so their attacking power is back in full.
Both teams should be relaxed, not much in play and Velez with their attacking style can put San Martin in danger.
