Patronato are yet to secure their first-division status as they failed to beat relegated Sarandi Arsenal after a 1-1 away draw. Having claimed a single victory in their last six matches, Patronato are on 28 points and will stay in the Superliga if they claim two more points and Chacarita don’t win all their five remaining games. Juan Pablo Pumpido’s men claimed five victories and two draws at home, suffering three defeats.
Estudiantes made it four games without a victory in the Superliga as they lost 2-0 against Chacarita Juniors at Quilmes.
That result means El Pincha remain on 32 points and have slid out of the Copa Sudamericana spots. On away turf, the winless run also reaches four league games, with three of them ending in draws since week 13.
This will be an even game, but it’ll back a home victory as Patronato have been strong as hosts lately and they seem more motivated to finally escape any chances of relegation.
