Libertad is now at the top of the Copa Libertadores Group H following their fantastic 1-0 away victory at Gremio in Brazil, with Antonio Bareiro scoring the winner in the first half. The team beat Cerro Porteno 2-1 away last Saturday to climb into the third spot of the Paraguayan league table on 21 points in 13 rounds (leaders Olimpia accumulated 31). El Gumarelo is on three games unbeaten (two wins, one draw) and suffered a single defeat in the last nine competitive games, winning six and drawing two. At home, they haven’t lost any of the last five, with three successes in that spell.
Meanwhile, Rosario Central are third-placed on a single point following a devastating 2-1 away defeat at Universidad Catolica in Chile three weeks ago, when they conceded the winner in the 96th minute. Last Sunday, coach Diego Cocca made his debut at the club with a 2-0 away victory at Argentinos Juniors, which ended a negative run of 12 games without a win in 2019 (seven draws in regular time and five defeats). El Canalla is now sitting in an 18th spot of the league table on 26 points. That success also stopped an 11-game winless streak of four draws and seven defeats on away turf.
Rosario Central has improved in Diego Cocca’s debut as a coach and now they definitely need points here, a win if possible but they will face a tough opponent that has a really good attacking power. I expect goals here so I’m taking the low OVER line.
