Cruzeiro remains perfect in the Copa Libertadores’ group B without even conceding after beating Emelec 1-0 away thanks to a goal from Rodriguinho in the first half. On Saturday, they won 3-0 at home over America Mineiro to make it 6-2 on aggregate and advanced to the Minas Gerais State Championship finals, where they will meet Atletico Mineiro. A Raposa are holding an impressive 18-game unbeaten run in all competitions, with 13 victories in that spell (including the last nine). That streak includes eight home games (seven wins and one draw).
Meanwhile, Huracan is bottom in the Group B table on a single point after losing 2-1 at Deportivo Lara from Venezuela last Wednesday. On Sunday, El Globo has finally claimed a much-needed 2-0 home win over Atletico Tucuman, which allowed them to end up league season in tenth on 35 points to qualify for the 2020 Copa Sudamericana.
