Bolivar (Bolivia) vs Tigre (Argentina)
Bolivar had a tough debut in the Copa Libertadores last Wednesday when losing at Guarani in Paraguay 2-0. On Saturday, the team also succumbed to a 2-1 away defeat at Always Ready in league action, which made them drop down to the third spot on 19 points, two behind their last opponents. Overall, Claudio Vivas’ men are on three winless matches, collecting a single point in that span. However, Bolivar also is on 14 unbeaten matches as hosts, winning ten and drawing four.
Tigre also started their campaign in this competition in a sorry way as they lost 2-0 to Brazil’s Palmeiras at home. The team postponed their league game last weekend (they were supposed to visit Ramon Santamarina) and remain in the fifth spot of the second-tier Group B on 28 points, four behind Deportivo Riestra in fourth, who are currently qualifying for the second-promotion playoff. El Matador lost three and won two of their five competitive games in 2020 and they were beaten in their two travels (at Quilmes and All Boys).
Tigre, who are in 2nd division in Argentina, will field a B team and with the altitude factor, this should be an easy win for the hosts.
