Round of 32 of Copa Argentina resumes this weekend before the new Superliga season starts next week. All games in this competition are played on neutral ground, only one leg and with a penalties shootout if the game is tied after the 90 minutes.
Defensa y Justicia just finished 2nd last season but they are a completely different team now as their coach Sebastian Becaccece left and the same thing happened with other 13 players, 6 of them key starters which means they will at least need time to rebuild and it doesn’t make sense that they are favourites here.
Gimnasia finished the season on a high note reaching the Quarterfinals of the Superliga Cup, and on their way to do this, they eliminated today’s rival Defensa y Justicia by beating them both at home and away. They lost striker Santiago Silva in the offseason but added the experienced Paraguayan scored Pablo Velazquez.
Can’t see Defensa as favourites here considering how much they’ve changed, so the +0.25 line offers a lot of value.
