1st leg matches tend to be very tight affairs in European football, there is a lot of sounding out of the opposition whilst 2nd legs the teams are more familiar, there may be less respect shown and there is usually a team chasing a goal at some stage which can lead a match to be high scoring and open. We see Irish side Dundalk host Riga today in Ireland, Dundalk is an experienced European side at this stage and has been in the group stages of the Europa League in the past few seasons.
