Aston Villa vs Middlesbrough

Aston Villa lead 1-0 from the first leg and know a draw or a win will send them into the playoff final tomorrow (Wednesday) night. However, I make Boro a better team and thought they were very unlucky in the first leg, the fact Boro are +0.25 against a team who don’t need to win is very tempting in my book and as already mentioned.

I see Boro has the better team although home advantage rightly makes Villa favourites for the game itself. As mentioned in my 1st leg preview over the weekend I feel Boro have better options up front compared to Villa and the team news favours Boro as well with Aston Villa’s defender Ahmed Elmohamady being a very big doubt according to Steve Bruce, the Villa manager.

All in all I Make Boro a bet +0.25 @ 2.05 but considering Villa only need a draw I think we can bring our target down to 2.00 which is just a 1% adjustment, which seems fair.
