Lanus vs Aldosivi

Lanus came from two goals down to claim a 2-2 away draw at San Lorenzo last time out in a thrilling match. El Granate has now drawn their last eight consecutive Superliga fixtures while they are on nine league games without a win (suffering one loss). They also are winless in their last seven home games in this competition, with six draws and one defeat since beating River Plate 1-0 in February. Aldosivi turned the result around to claim their first three points after the club’s promotion. It was a 2-1 home win over Huracan, with Matias Pisano netting the winner just two minutes from time. That result allowed them to leave the relegation zone. Dating back to the last term in the second tier, El Tiburon lost three of their last four games on the road, just beating Gimnasia Jujuy in that time.

Lanus is in a big crisis, after the midweek defeat against a 2nd division club their coach is in danger of losing his job, and the renewal they expected after losing the Copa Libertadores final last year is not going as expected. Aldosivi will have back their two main strikers, Telechea and Chavez, and their mood is a lot better after winning last week at home so I expect them to take something from this game.
