Argentina Primera Division Odds for April 9, 2018

San Martin de San Juan vs Huracan

San Martin SJ’s striker Claudio Spinelli scored his fifth goal in nine matches at the club to secure a 1-1 away draw with Union Santa Fe. The team played a decent performance in Gaston Coyette’s debut to make it four points from the last six available. At home, they claimed six victories and two draws and suffered three losses.

Huracan failed to move closer the Copa Libertadores places last time out, when they drew with Banfield 1-1 at home. That result means they are on six matches unbeaten, but four of them ended in draws.

Both are already safe from relegation what means that they play with less pressure, and San Martin’s change of coach a couple of weeks ago seems to have improve their football.

Although the hosts won’t have Spinelli, the guy that has scored some goals for them lately, I find value on this odds against a very irregular and unreliable Huracan.

Bet: San Martin de San Juan DNB 2.01

Talleres vs Independiente

Talleres’ nine-match unbeaten run came to an end last Sunday, when the team returned home empty-handed after a 2-1 loss at league leaders Boca Juniors with a last minute goal. However, Talleres are producing an outstanding campaign, sitting in third place on 41 points.

Independiente failed to return to one of the Copa Libertadores spots on Wednesday as the team played below expectations and lost to San Lorenzo 1-0 at home. That was their second consecutive defeat in the Superliga and the side remain on 36 points, sitting in sixth spot of the table after three games without a win. In this game they are forced to make changes as half of their regular defense (Franco and Bustos) is out due to injuries/suspension as also are two of their best midfielder, Meza and Diego Rodriguez.

Talleres won all five home matches played in 2018 and after Boca’s defeat on Saturday they could get back on the title run if they manage to win this game, plus Independiente with this important missings and probably tired after the midweek game, makes the odds at home worth a bet.

Bet: Talleres -0.25 1.98
