However, El Halcon would have a shot in their fight for the title if the side is able to shorten that gap this weekend as both teams are set to clash in the last round. Defensa suffered a single home loss this term (to Boca Juniors 1-0), registering seven victories and three draws.
Union Santa Fe climbed into the seventh spot of the league table on 34 points following a convincing 3-0 home victory over Lanus two weeks ago, with striker Franco Troyansky scoring twice. El Tatengue suffered a single defeat in their last five league matches, winning three and drawing one. Defensa y Justicia comes from the very unexpected defeat at Patronato and is now in a must-win situation against Union, a really hard team to beat that wants points to secure a Copa Sudamericana 2020 spot. I think this will be the end of Defensa’s title chances because they won’t be able to defeat Union.
