Argentina Belgrano vs Gimnasia
Argentina Belgrano is now on seven Superliga matches without a win (three draws, four defeats) after losing at Velez Sarsfield 1-0 last Sunday. It was an even game in general terms, but Diego Osella’s men couldn’t deal with Gaston Gil Romero’s sending-off in the first half. Having accumulated only eight points this term, Belgrano continues sitting in a relegation spot. At home, they managed two points from the last nine available.
Last Saturday, Gimnasia LP managed an important home win (2-1 over Boca Juniors), which allowed them to open a healthy ten-point gap over Belgrano (who are occupying the final relegation spot) in the points average table. El Lobo also climbed into 11th spot of the league table on 14 points, registering four wins and four losses in ten weeks. On a sorry note, they were defeated in the last two league travels at Union Santa Fe and Velez Sarsfield.
Gimnasia LP seems the better side at the moment and Belgrano will have a very important missing in attacking midfielder Matias Suarez, their best player, so I expect the visitors to get something in this game.
