The 2018 Jamaica Football Federation Women’s Premier League announces its return on July 28, 2018 at JFF Headquarters in Kingston on Tuesday. The said league was in a one-year hiatus due to the inability to find a title sponsor.
According to JFF the players from the women’s league “feed into the national programme†therefore its management decided to produce its own funds this year and have Lascelles Employers and Partners Co-operative Credit Union as an associate sponsor.
In addition, the revival is not only goaled to assist the players but as well as to continue the improvement of the women’s premier league.
Ten teams from across the island will compete in the game and winners will be entitled to take home a J$500,000 (US$3800) price.

It is known that last year’s champion, Barbican FC, will not be competing this time and a new winner will be expected among the following teams; Arnett Gardens, Fraisier’s Whip, Olympic Gardens, Rangers FC, Real Mobay, St. Ann’s Women FC, Trelawny Women FC, Waterhouse FC, Cavalier FC and St. Catherine Women FC.
