Liverpool’s centre back Dejan Lovren expressed that their club is ready to face Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

On Saturday, Lovren will go through his first Champions League final and will face one of the world’s best footballers, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Croatian footballer Lovren helped Liverpool achieve the final slot, as well as supported the team in placing fourth during the English Premier League. When asked by CNN Sport, Lovren said that he will be as confident as Ronaldo when they meet at Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine.

The 28-year old centre back has kept tabs on Ronaldo’s achievements and expressed, “He’s [Ronaldo] a fantastic player. He’s showed already over 12 to 15 seasons that every year he can score.” He added that even if Ronaldo’s season isn’t too promising, his score will reach at least 30 goals.

When asked how Lovren will prepare, he said, “It will be quite difficult, of course, a big challenge. But I’ve been working so hard in my life to reach the final of the Champions League and I play week in, week out against the best Premier League strikers in England so I’m ready for that.”
