Tottenham Hotspurs, Everton, and Liverpool Odds

Tottenham Hotspurs v Arsenal

The North London derby is the first match of the weekend and it is also the big match of the weekend in the premier league. Spurs have received a major boost with key defender Toby Alderweireld available to them after being out for the last few month injured. Arsenal beat Everton 5-1 last weekend, however the score was as much to do with the way Everton set up than the Arsenal’s play, which was excellent but Everton made them look better than they were. Everton defence had a nightmare playing 3 at the back and were all at sea, Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan, Ozil and Ramsey all linked very well and to be fair Arsenal are probably better going forward than they were earlier in the season. However Arsenal’s major problems still looks to exist and that is the spine of the team, central midfield and defense, this will not change on Saturday as they never dealt with the issue in January. For me i make Spurs a bet, who were excellent in the 2nd half last week and they are simply a more solid team than the gunners and I have them a bet at -0.5 @ 1.94.

Everton v Crystal Palace

I am giving Everton another chance here, there are many positives, first Palace have a major injury crisis on their hands, missing players like Kelly, Loftus-Cheek, Speroni, Puncheon, Wickham, Dann, Sako and the ultra key Zaha. Second Everton will not play the shambolic formation they played last week, they will play a 4-3-3 formation and we should see Seamus Coleman return to the starting 11 as well as Rooney who was left out for tactical reasons v Arsenal. Everton are only giving up -0.25 on the handicap at home and i think it is worth a go against such a injury hit squad, Rooney spoke about being embarrassed simply watching the game last week and they will want to put it behind them and move on in front of their own fans. I am taking Everton to prove that they are better than they have been of late -0.25 @ 1.96.

Everton -0.25 @ Min Odds 1.96

Southampton v Liverpool

Interesting how Southampton approach this match, i make Liverpool just about a bet of course i am wary about betting them as the past number of week they are been average but i think this match should suit the Anfield, Southampton will want to take the game to them at home and this will help Liverpool. Saints scored 3 on the road last weekend although they were helped by the absense of West Brom’s key defender Johnny Evans. Saints have averaged 3.64 shots on target this season at home, Liverpool on the road have 5.77, overall Southampton are ranked 15th for shots on target while Liverpool are 3rd. Saints were probably a little fortunate to get the win last week and i feel they are worth opposing here against a still dangerous Liverpool side.

Liverpool -0.75 @ 2.03
