Following his early exit at the recent Champions League final due to injury, Mohamed Salah continues to make progress in getting better for Egypt national team this coming World Cup.

Liverpool’s Egyptian forward endured shoulder injury during a ground tangling with Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos. This cost him to leave the pitch early and eventually Liverpool lost to Real Madrid, 3-1.

Salah adds in his daily routine shoulder exercises to make himself fit once more, as the international football tournament is less than two weeks away. He arrived in Valencia on May 29 for further shoulder treatment.

The Egyptian Football Federation announced the forward’s condition will not require more than three weeks of heightened medical attention. This, in turn, would allow Salah to be part of the national team as they make their way into Russia.

“The delegation of the national team was briefed on the recovery programme for the player, who is walking well and aims to join the squad in the World Cup, as well as the determination of the great player to catch up with his team-mates,” according to the Egyptian Football Federation’s Facebook page.

They added, “For his part, (team doctor) Mohamed Abou El-Ela said that the period of absence of Salah due to injury will not exceed three weeks.”

Egypt will have its first match at the FIFA World Cup in the Group Stages against Uruguay on Friday, June 15 at Ekaterinburg Arena in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
