Copa Sudamericana: Coquimbo Unido (Chile) – Racing (Argentina) Odds for April 24, 2024

Coquimbo Unido (Chile) – Racing (Argentina)

Coquimbo Unido secured a massive 1-0 home victory over Paraguayan side Sportivo Luqueno in week two thanks to a strike from Andres Chavez in the first half. As a result, the team took their first three points in the Copa Sudamericana to climb into second spot in group H, leading Red Bull Bragantino by goal difference. On Saturday, El Pirata managed another important victory, beating O’Higgins 2-0 at home to occupy fifth spot in the Chilean league table, accumulating 15 points in nine matches. Coquimbo are without defeat in their last four matches in all competitions, winning three and drawing one. At home, they stay unbeaten in the last six (five victories and one stalemate).

Racing Club seem to be finding their way to the round of 16. In week two, they haven’t found any difficulties to secure an easy 3-0 home victory over Brazil’s Red Bull Bragantino following a solid performance. La Academia made it six points from a possible six in the Copa Sudamericana to remain as group H leaders. Their last competitive game was a week ago, when beating Belgrano 4-0 away, which was not enough to clinch a ticket for the Copa Liga Profesional playoffs as they ended up in fifth spot of the group B table on 24 points in 14 rounds. Gustavo Costas’ men are however going through an excellent moment of form, winning six and drawing one of the last seven. On the road, Racing hold a three-game winning streak.

Racing are clearly the big favorites of this group, they are perfect after 2 games with 6 points and no goals conceded. They were unlucky not to qualify to the Quarterfinals in the argentinean league so now their focus is on this tournament and I expect them to continue with a perfect record and win at Chile with the return of playmaker Juanfer Quintero.
