Belgium’s Radja Nainggolan Misses Out on World Cup

Skysports reports that AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has been left out of Belgium national team for FIFA World Cup 2018.

The star footballer set a two-point goal in their Champions League semi-final match versus Liverpool. Despite his proven track record, Nainggolan’s relationship with manager Roberto Martinez isn’t a smooth sailing one.

Nainggolan was dropped twice by Martinez, but he was back in the team after Belgium’s friendlies match with Saudi Arabia.

Due to inexplicable reasons, the AS Roma midfielder missed the last training session for Belgium. This led to the assumption of him not making it to the final cut, even if fans are rooting for him.

Though a fan favorite, Nainggolan has been swamped with controversies about his lifestyle, which included being a regular smoker. This way of living is an issue for coach Martinez and former coach Marc Wilmots.

Radja is considered as one of the best midfielders in Serie A and a consistent star player of AS Roma. The club claimed the third spot this season and even reached the final leg of the Champions League with his help.

Belgium National team will be in Group G together with Tunisia, England, and Panama in the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
