Velez vs Aldosivi
Velez Sarsfield had to settle for a 0-0 away draw at Gimnasia LP after wasting several goalscoring opportunities last Monday. However, they are going through a positive run: El Fortin are unbeaten in the last five league matches, with three victories and two draws. The team are now on 14 points in the Liga Profesional but remain at the top of the 2021 aggregate table. Furthermore, Velez are on three consecutive wins at their own stadium in this competition, having beaten Lanus, Godoy Cruz and Union Santa Fe.
Aldosivi continue deflating their performance. The team succumbed to a devastating 4-1 home defeat to Godoy Cruz last Monday, which extended their losing streak to four league matches. This negative run means El Tiburon remain on 13 points after 11 rounds and also dropped them down to the bottom spot of the relegation table. On away turf, Fernando Gago’s men took only one point across the last three games since beating Rosario Central in round four.
I’m going to trust Velez again to continue regaining their previous form, as they shouldn’t have any problems to beat the terrible Aldosivi.
