Union vs Patronato

Union Santa Fe hold onto a tiny chance of advancing to the Fase Complementacion’s final following their 3-1 away success at Aldosivi. The team claimed all their seven points in the last three games (two wins and one draw) to climb into second spot in group A, three points behind leaders Rosario Central (on a sorry note, the table toppers hold a much better goal difference).

Patronato had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Lanus at home last time out, when coach Ivan Delfino made his debut in his second spell at the club. That result represented their first point in four matches in the Fase Complementacion. In fact, the team are winless in their last 12 matches in top-flight action, having drawn three and lost nine. On away turf, Patronato haven’t won any of their last 16 matches, registering five stalemates and 11 defeats.

Even if they are playing almost for nothing, I have to expect Union to win against this terrible Patronato to keep their good run going.
