Union vs Independiente Rivadavia
Union Santa Fe are still finding trouble in the Copa Liga Profesional. Last time out, the team wasted several goalscoring chances and had to settle for a scoreless home draw against Platense. As a result, El Tatengue made it five league games without a win, drawing three and losing two since beating Racing Club 1-0 away in the season opener. Therefore, they made it six points in as many games in this competition and are dangerously approaching the relegation zone in the point-average table. At home, Cristian Gonzalez’s men took only one point from nine available as a product of one draw and two losses this term.
Independiente Rivadavia are starting to find trouble after a good start. Last Tuesday, the team couldn’t handle striker Alex Arce’s departure and ended up losing 2-1 away at Argentinos Juniors. That result means La Lepra are on three consecutive defeats in the Copa Liga Profesional. Still on six points in as many matches in group A, Rodolfo De Paoli’s men dropped down to the penultimate spot of the point-average table, just two points above Deportivo Riestra. On away turf, Independiente lost their last two matches after beating Gimnasia LP 3-2 in round two.
Very irregular season so far for these two but Independiente Rivadavia has been struggling in defense conceding 5 in the last 3 games, while Union won’t have their most experienced defender Miguel Torren due to injury, so I’ll go with the OVER on this very short line.
