Argentine Primera Division: Union – Talleres Odds for November 26, 2024

Union – Talleres

Union Santa Fe put up a good fight on their visit to Boca Juniors last Wednesday, but they ended up losing 1-0 away after conceding in the fourth minute of the game. Despite having lost two of their last three in league action (along with a single victory), El Tatengue remain performing very well in the Liga Profesional, accumulating 36 points, which allows them to stay occupying one of the Copa Sudamericana spots in the aggregate table.

Talleres are still alive in the fight for their first league title. Last Thursday, the team fought harder than expected but still were able to beat Sarmiento 2-0 at home. La T made it two consecutive victories without even conceding in league action to accumulate 39 points in the Liga Profesional, trailing table toppers Velez Sarsfield by five with four rounds to go. In addition, Alexander Medina’s men remain occupying one of the Copa Libertadores’ spots in the aggregate table. Talleres succumbed to a single defeat across their last five domestic matches on away turf, winning two and drawing two. Ruben Botta is set to return from suspension while Juan Portilla and Miguel Navarro have returned from their international duties.

Talleres is in front of a massive opportunity because with a win here they will be 3 points behind the leaders Velez with only 3 rounds left. Union is a tough team at home, but they won’t have two important players like striker Orsini and defender Bruno Pitton while the visitors will be able to have playmaker Botta and midfielder Portilla back in the starting lineup, so I’ll trust them here to take the result they need.
