Union – Godoy Cruz

Union Santa Fe secured an important point on their visit to Newell’s Old Boys last Saturday, drawing 1-1 away thanks to a goal from Kevin Zenon in the 63rd minute. El Tatengue extended their unbeaten streak to nine league games (two victories and seven stalemates) to accumulate six points in the Copa Liga Profesional group B and opened a five-point gap over the relegation spot in the aggregate table, occupied by Huracan. At home, Union haven’t lost any of their last eight, winning three and drawing five.

Godoy Cruz had to settle for a scoreless home draw against Belgrano last Sunday even though they dominated the game from beginning to end. As a result, El Tomba made it six points in the Copa Liga Profesional and also extended their unbeaten streak to five league matches (two victories and three draws), which places them just three points behind the last Copa Libertadores’ spot in the aggregate table. On a sorry note, Godoy Cruz remain winless in the last nine on the road, drawing six and losing three in that spell.

Both don’t lose much but also draw a lot, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the same thing here between these two solid teams.
