Argentinos Juniors new coach Pablo Guede had a promising debut at the club: his team showed an improved version to beat Banfield 1-0 away, with Leonardo Heredia scoring the winner in the 76th minute. El Bicho made it seven points in four rounds in the Copa Liga Profesional as a product of two victories, one draw and one defeat, which places them into the Copa Sudamericana zone and just three points behind the last Copa Libertadores spot in the aggregate table. At home, Argentinos won four and drew two of their last seven domestic matches, having lost only once in that spell.

Talleres are one of the best teams in the league this season, but they are going through a mini slump at the moment. Last Saturday, La T showed a worrying performance and registered a scoreless home draw against newly-promoted Instituto. As a result, they made it seven points in four rounds in the Copa Liga Profesional. However, Javier Gandolfi’s men lost only one of their last ten league games, winning four and drawing five, which keeps them sitting in second spot of the aggregate table, holding a ten-point gap over the first non-Copa Libertadores place.

Argentinos won at Banfield last week but here they’ll have a much tougher opponent that should be able to take something from this game.
