Tigre – Racing

Tigre fans will have felt devastated last Monday, when they had to settle for a 1-1 away stalemate at Rosario Central after conceding the equaliser in the fifth minute of stoppage time. El Matador secured their first Liga Profesional point but also extended their winless streak to eight league games (one draw and seven losses), which keeps them bottom in the aggregate table, four points behind Sarmiento in the fight to avoid relegation. In fact, Tigre are on four consecutive losses at Estadio Jose Dellagiovanna.

Racing Club played one of their best matches in 2024 last Monday, when they dominated from beginning to end and beat Argentinos Juniors 3-0 at home. As a result, La Academia made it four points in two Liga Profesional rounds and also extended their unbeaten streak to six league games (four victories and two draws), still occupying one of the Copa Sudamericana spots in the aggregate table. Racing managed seven points from the last nine available as the visiting side in domestic action.

Again I’ll go for the OVER in a Racing game as they are now one of the best attacking teams in the league (they scored 10 goals in 3 games last week) and will have colombian playmaker Juanfer Quintero back in the starting lineup. Tigre are bottom of the aggregate table and desperate for points, they looked decent in the draw vs Rosario Central last week so I expect both teams to score here.
